Warm and Cozy Winter Wear

I live in northern MN. Given that, I end up being in winter gear for much longer than those in the south or coastal cities. That also means I take my winter gearing very seriously. I honestly don’t go for fashionable picks during the coldest months of the year. I usually buy up fleece leggings and layer up on top. I recently sold my LL Bean shearling boots which I loved! But I ended up needing to get rid of them because they are a bit narrow and since embarking on my barefoot journey my feet have widened enough that they just won’t work anymore. I’m obsessed with Anya’s Barefoot Shoe Reviews blog. I’m looking for some new winter boots with a wide-toe box. Since I’m up here in “da nort” I’m more than aware of the fact that barefoot choices may not be a true option, but if you know of any winter boots that are nice and wide let me know! I’m currently eyeing up the Australian brand EMU which is similar to UGGS. I originally fount the brand a few years ago since I’ve always disliked the perportions of UGGS…they just feel like they make feet look crazy long. I’m not the only one who sees that right? I’m also interested in Manitobah Moccasin boots. If anyone knows warmth it’s got to be northern Native Americans. On to some of my favorite things. Not only do I love the leggings I talked about earlier but I also love Land’s End. My biggest issue with them is they use virtual models so I don’t feel like I really get to see what things look like on a body. On the other side after purchasing my son’s winter jacket from them I’m in LOVE with their quality and their price points. They seem to have great-quality zippers which I know is a huge issue for L.L. Bean‘s winter coats, some of Columbia’s coats have the same zipper quality issues. My favorite part about Land’s End is its catalog. I’m not gonna lie I get super pumped when one comes in the mail. They have all their gear on actual models and they also have better discount codes in the catalog than they do on their site so it is worth it to order from them and get on their mailing list. Here are some items I’m looking at right now. I’m all about shopping cozy after the holiday season. We’ve already spent so much time dressing up now it’s time to relax a little until Valentine’s. It’s also a great time to work out undergarment situations. More on that soon!
